The hormetic response that cryotherapy triggers in the body as incredible health benefits.

4. What’s your typical training regime?

Monday: Wrestling 5-6pm, Gi Jiu-Jitsu 6-7:30pm

Tuesday: Nogi Jiu-Jitsu 6-7:30pm, Competition training 7:30-8:15pm

Wednesday: Wrestling 5-6pm, Gi Jiu-Jitsu 6-7:30pm.

Thursday: Nogi Jiu-Jitsu 6-7:30pm, strength and conditioning 7:30-8:15pm

Friday: Gi Jiu-Jitsu 5-6pm.

Saturday: Nogi Jiu-Jitsu 11am-12pm

5. As a Mixed Martial Artist, how has Whole Body Cryotherapy benefited your training, recovery and performance?

It has allowed me to cut down rehabilitation time of bad injuries, as well as allowing my body to recover from tough training sessions.

Remember that cold showers and ice baths are infinitely more painful. Try to breathe and relax inside the chamber.

9. Which Alchemy mantra inspires you most, and why?

“We commit to a preventive and proactive approach to health” because I believe in doing as much as I can to optimise my health and wellbeing, so that I am able to lead an active, happy lifestyle. It is all up to you.

10. Other than Cryo, what are your favourite tools / technology for health and performance?

Dry sauna, red light therapy (available through Alchemy), foam roller, lacrosse ball, inversion table, theracane.

11. Favourite quote or words you live by?

12. CONGRATULATIONS on receiving your bachelor’s degree in Osteopathy and recently accepting an exciting career opportunity in Canada! What are you looking forward to experiencing in Canada?

Living by myself on the other side of the world, in a big city. I’m also looking forward to checking out the Jiu-Jitsu scene in Toronto and meeting new people.

13. Anything else you would like to ad?

Thanks to the team at Alchemy Cryo, I’ve been able to push my body to its limits, as well as allowing me to rehab my injuries. The cutting-edge technology offered at the centre is second to none and it is no surprise that many professional tennis players drop in during the Australian Open. I will miss seeing Nitel, Jules and Andy while I am in Toronto, but I will be back!
